Wow what a incredible save, absolutely clutch save from Luongo

the 1st goal was still weak, he wouldn't have needed to make that glove save if he had just hugged the damn post

simply put he needs to be better on Sunday, Miller has been unstoppable so far this tournament and if Luongo can't step his game up Canada will be in trouble

I will probably actually hate him less when he plays for Vancouver now, just because of that save.

But I am sure that will change by the time we play the Canucks next.

Did it actually go off of his glove? The replay I seen it looked as if it went off of Keith's stick.

you think if one incident in an event is changed that you can predict the ensuing outcome? gimme a break. this thread is appreciating a save that could give us a chance at gold.

It was definitely off the glove. If I knew how to post videos off my PVR I would. Maybe HOOT will do it at some point.

Whether he let in a weak goal or not, that was a huge save that preserved the win for Canada. Isn't that what you want your goalie to do? He made a mistake and then atoned for it.

Anyone have the link to the CTV overhead view? I watched the game but don't remember seeing the overhead replay in slow-motion.

Great save.

Ironic that a canucks fan starts this thread though.

Some more reading on the subject...Jason Botchfords twitter.

Both Demitra and Luongo saying he got his glove on it.

Can't see much from that video. Still can't tell if it actually hit the post, a stick, or his glove. Hopefully another angle comes out.

Absolutely amazing save. But to be fair, he owed it to the team to make that save after letting in the weak goal by Visnovsky.

As I mentioned in the other thread, Luongo hasn't been lights out spectacular, but he's made some really huge saves when he's needed to and this might be his biggest one yet.

I'm excited to have him between the pipes.

Definitely hard to see it at real speed. After slowing it down on the PVR it's all glove. Not to mention what the players are saying about it.

It was clearly off his glove.

I'd rather have a goalie let in an average goal early and a big save late, then a big save early and an average goal late.

The first goal was pretty questionable, but he certainly redeemed himself by making a HUGE save with a handful of seconds left.

Its absolutely within the realm of possibility that if he doesn't make that save, We end up playing the Fins.
