Mule to Philly

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired Johan "Mule" Franzen in a friday deal that sees Thomas Fleishman head to the other way to Minnesota.

"Johan brings a solid scoring set with him with a high scoring rating, that is what intrigued as about him" Said GM Schum.

Schum makes this trade with hopes to kick start a sputtering offense thats been shutout in 3 of their last 5 games, and have scored 6 goals combined in their last 5 games.

"Patrick Kane has been struggling so we wanted another top 6 forward, that can step in and provide some offense, Kane's lack of durability is showing in his rookie season." Said Martin, who is on the hot seat as well.

Franzen might arrive in time to play the coyotes tomorrow.

I would way rather have Franzen than Fleischmann. Yes Franzen is injury prone but Fleischmann is more inconsistent than anything.

I can see why both these teams made the trade.

Grant wasnt willing to give Franzen a grid deal and he loves youth
Joe wanted a more consistent top 6 forward without having to give up Kane - maybe kick start Kanes play.

Even deal IMO.

I was going to re-sign Mule - can't let a guy like that walk - but it was going to put my finances in a tight situation. Moreover he hasn't been putting up a lot of points for me even with top 6 minutes.
