Nice! Though after the Goalie mask thing, I'm surprised they allowed skates like this

That's one of the douchiest things I've seen in a while. Not surprised Ovechkin is wearing them.

Meh, I think they're kinda lame, but whatever. To be fair though, I think Ovechkin wears that colour of lace all the time.

Well, we know his favourite player growing up was Iginla, so I think it's his subtle way of asking for a trade.
Sutter, get it done!

For a guy that takes five minutes to get a stick, I'm not surprised. Those are some douchy skates.
But the yellow laces are his standard.

I'm just going to go ahead and say that the flames may represent the Olympic flame.
Either that or it was the only base-decal left at the Auto shop.

Very nice looking skate, you haters (aka Sidney "Crybaby" Crosby) fans are welcome to go play in another thread. I'm tired of you spreading your hate here whenever there's a thread about Ovechkin. Get over it.

He had normal skates on today. The TSN crew suggested that he was asked to ton it down

Whether or not his name means a sheep, an angry, gap-toothed lamb is the last thing I would ever put on my skates.
If my last name's Dick I'm not putting a raging boner with a grimace on its face on my blades.

Indifferent about the skates, a bit over the top for most players however Ovie is known for this kind of thing so not really out of character for him. Don't care either way really.
However his taking 5 minutes to pick a stick act the other day was over the line, still shocked the officials allowed it. Anyone else tried that they would have been told to cut the crap.
