Pens and Blues Swap Teams

The Blues and Pens have hooked up on yet another deal, this one involving 7 players.

To the Blues:

Scott Hartnell LW
Bryan Little RW/C
Jan Hejda

To the Pens:

Alex Burrows LW
Alex Frolov LW
Brooks Orpik D
Tom Kotopolus RW

This was a move to shake up both struggling teams. Almost all these players have been under performing for their teams. The Blues make out a bit better in getting the signed players...the Pens make better in getting the better players right now.

Well we tried to shake things up again. Time will tell if it works or not. We see Frolov and Hartnell as pretty much a wash but are hoping Frolov can fit in better on this team. Burrows is a guy I think this team needs. He brings a lot of grit and good defensive awareness. This team lacks that and will we lose Hartnell we hope that Burrows can fill in that role and provide some secondary scoring. Little was a guy I didn't really want to move. I think he is going to be a great player down the road, but with our depth upfront I felt I kinda had to make a move to try and find some chemistry for this season. Orpik is a guy that I will be trying on a pairing with Andrei Markov and hoping that they can click.

Pretty simple deal where both teams needed a shakeup and sent players that could possible ignite some scoring on both squads. Thanks to Spike once again for the quick deal!

I am not a hard guy to get along with I can accommodate a Heatley for Burrows swap!
