Default Man who shot 23 month old infant in the spine gets sentence reduced to 7 years

Apparently the judge made a mistake in calculating the convictions.

I want to know how someone who shoots a kid gets 7 years? He intentionally shot through a wall knowing full well that it could hit someone and kill them.

Isn't that attempted murder?
