Default Where to get slim-fit khakis/dress pants?

No need for made to order or anything like that, just looking for a place that sells khakis that don't look like MC Hammer pants.

Banana Republic - if you can handle the mark up. Haven't found a place that works better for me yet.

I know American Apparel has slim cords, I've never seen any place with slim khakis though. The cords there are in a few colours, one is fairly close to the khaki brown. It's also kind of expensive, as are most things in that store. I've never actually tried them, so I can't say if they fit nice, or if they're good quality, but it's the first thing that popped into my head.

Thanks guys, I'll check them out. I didn't think of Zara's and Banana Republic always slips my mind.

Hugo Boss specializes in clothing for the scrawny man if you can handle the sticker shock. Harry Rosen is the best place to look. Also second the Banana Republic recommendation.

At Banana Republic, for suits, stay away from the "Modern" cut, it is not so modern, and rather baggy.

I do, however, highly recommend their "Tailored" cut. Unfortunately, they usually only have 2 color choices in that cut each season, so you might have to wait until there is one you like.

Also, they are full price $150 USD. But Banana Republic seems to always have 25% off sales and if you buy something at the right time of the year, they hand out coupons for 40% off any one item on a certain day. I did that with a suit and they actually let me use it on 2 items, getting a suit for 40% off really helps bring their prices more in line to their quality level.

Khakis at Banana Republic are only $60 or something and I really like their fit/quality.

Nice, yeah I recently bought a suit in a jam at Zara's as well. My girlfriend was complaining about my old but expensive suits being dated. She was right! This new one I bought was inexpensive but more stylish. Also, their ties are cool too and make the old mammoth ones look ridiculous!

Eddie Bauer also has slim cut khakis - they are a good deal when on sale.
