It adds grease and oil to an already greasy meal, if you like the flavour of the cooking medium more than the food itself then maybe.
I dont find it that more greasy, because whatever surface is touching the oil, you're still getting it soaked in grease.
Breading adds texture and crispiness. It also adds more flavor because of the pepper or other spices you combine with the breading flour.
It's also about getting more tenderness in the chicken too. The breading also helps seals in the juices and getting more consistant tenderness in the meat
I'm guessing you also hate chicken nuggets, fish sticks and all that is KFC too?

Exp:
Breaded wings are at least 11 herbs and spices short of being able to be compared to KFC.
Seriously, I think the key is that non-breaded wings are one of the easiest things to make so they are OK; but breaded wings are a lot harder to get right. And in my experience most places just don't get them right.
i was fine looking at the wings, those aren't one of my huge cravings. the beer was ok too, lots of that in the fridge. and the woman, while nice, just not my taste. but then you have to go and post that goddamn picture...
you sir, respectably, are an a$$hole

The standard of wings for me was set when I ate wings at the kensington red robins with Harald Hasselback of the Stampeders 15-20 years ago. Never had better, have tried to find them since.
AFAIC, any place that doesn't bread their wings makes edible teriyaki/honey garlic/honey hot/salt&pepper etc. But when it comes to "hot" wings, there is but one Juliets. I think they lace their hot with crack or nicotine, because I just can't quit that place.
