What to do if work place has very unsafe credit card practices?

I have a question...

What would be the best thing for someone to do if the place they were recently employed at practiced extremely unsafe customer credit card use?

As in, shockingly bad? This person could have used a fake name to apply and be hired, never had references or documentation checked, tax forms requested to be filled out, etc, while sitting in to listen to a program they weren't hired for with paper and pen and copied down all personal information pertaining to someone's credit card, including address, name, and all credit card information. They then could have left and never been heard from again or have their identity known.

Should they find a corporate contact and let them know? Is there a group for this? This person will never reveal credit card information over the phone again...

When I was in retail Visa's security department was always willing to listen to merchants who had credit concerns. Maybe give them a call and let them know what this business is doing with their (Visa's) cutomer's info.

but then again, this is your own workplace... are you sure you want to do this?

Seconded. The CC companies are always good about taking fraud/best practices seriously.
