Was pulling into my parking spot when I saw this large animal dart past. Went to follow it to check it out. Sure enough it was a wolf. Just a warning to keep an eye on small children or pets if youre in this area.. Didn't seem afraid when I honked my horn just came closer. Will post pics soon.. I'm almost positive this is a wolf seemed far to big to be a coyote
a wolf in the city area? sure it wasnt a husky, or someones dog? If it was a wolf, you should call animal control... That could be very dangerous, not just for small children but a grown man...

HAHA boy will I feel like an idiot if it's a Husky. I noticed the hair on the back of it's neck was standing up big time... Also when I rolled my window down to take the pics I was actually scared. Crappy iphone pic. Got a video too just need to figure out how to upload it
That actually does look like a grey wolf, tho it is hard to tell from the picture. could be a Shepard... From the tail, it does look like a tail of a grey wolf. But coul dvery well be a family pet, wolf/husky.

There has only been one confirmed death from a wolf in North America ever and a few 'reported' throughout history.
I'm not familiar with wolves ( have only seen a couple very fleetingly) other than on nature shows but to me it looks and acts like a dog.
When male wolves are hard up they will mate with coyotes.
Quote:
A theory has been proposed that the large eastern coyotes in Canada are actually hybrids of the smaller western coyotes and wolves that met and mated decades ago as the coyotes moved toward New England from their earlier western ranges.[22]
The behavior definitely doesn't sound like what you'd expect from a wolf, but I've got to say, from the picture that looks like a wolf; particularly the distinctive tail. Still, could be a Tamaskan, or a wolf-descended domesticated dog. Definitely call animal control; if there is a wolf that has no fear, you're probably not the only person to see it.
Honestly the way it is sniffing around, and not scared or even cautious of you at all makes me think it is just a dog.
The way it moves just looks like it is accustomed to not having to watch its back or care what is going on around it, like the casual attitude of a dog.
Lets hear what Dwight thinks about this topic...

I remeber seeing an add for wolf/malamute mix dogs years ago. I think the the breeder was from the Lethbridge area, but I'm not sure. As cool as it sounds, I'm not sure why anyone would want a dog that is half wolf but that's just me.

Not half wolf, but full-on wolf - an interesting read in this regard:
