Anyone else thinking the press coverage of this was pretty terrible? I've seen nothing on The Score yet, and The Fan barely covered the press conference.

SN, QR77 said they're going to have Henry Burris on at 9:05 MT tonight, so I'd expect some good coverage around that time.

bleh! I dont see the big hoopla with signing Burris at all. Hes ok and his mobility is all that really saves his arse most of the time. Ill bet the boobirds will be after his hi paid arse somewhere around game 5 or 6. No upgrade over Khari at all IMO.

Looks like the CFL salary cap is a figment of someones imagination. In about 2 or 3 years the whining will start all over again!

Cheese. Your getting cranky in your old age.

I think Burris was the best QB out there and will flourish with the Stamps.

As for the cap - yes - it is a joke in the CFL but I'm unsure if the Stamps will actually be over or not. For every high priced player added (Copeland, Marlbrough, Burris) one has been deleted or will be (Jones, McGarity, Connel, etc) .

Take that Barrett and Shivers! This is what happens when you gamble on 3rd and 3 with a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter. Karma comes through again.

Burris - 29
Jones - 34
...that's the difference right there. The guy's marginally better than Khari, but the age factor's the kicker - and he'll be here long term

And they're not saying "boo" it's "boo-ris"

Ah crap with that, Khari Jones is a good QB but remember he was not starting before he was traded to Calgary. The question I would like to know....is he healthy? Burris is 4 years younger. Plus he can scramble allot better and is healthy. In my view a big improvement

As for the Salary cap, sure the Stamps spent allot of money but look at all those contracts that was released....K Jones, Crandell, McGarity, Connell plus others.

Great move by the Stamps.

All 3 of our QB's CAN RUN! This is something I've wanted for such a long time!! To me in the CFl your QB unless gifted with a great arm ex. Dickenson-Calivillo, needs to be able to scramble.

Burris is a good guy and we got Darnell backing him up if anything happens. Not to mention we got a diamond in the rough with Souza. I can't wait to watch this kid play and he can learn from a guy who started a game in the NFL and has been around. Perfect mentor.

Yeah I know, but I'd trust Riderfans like I'd trust a federal Liberal with my wallet... too bad they won't release terms; would be nice to see if the Stamps really have been the NYY of the CFL; I'm getting tired of people bashing them for releasing people and using that freed up salary to spend on quality players.

Note to all. If you haven't seen enough is the past few weeks to get off your duff and head to McMahon to buy season tickets, you should seriously consider getting your head examined. This new group is putting their money where their mouth is, and where we need help. Remember, we still have the #1 pick in the CFL draft to use or trade.
