Default New Year Resolutions

A little over a month in, how is everyone doing with theirs?

I made two and they are going great so far.

1: Don't listen to your ipod to/from class everyday. I used to always have it in while I was bumming around campus, decided to be more approachable & sociable so am going with out it.

2: Don't wear a hat every single day. I wore a hat 9 days of out 10 (yeah), so my goal was to cut that back opposite. I still like wearing hats; I now have to get a haircut every month instead of buying a new hat.

Mine was to get to 8-10% body fat by June. Not there yet but working my ass off at the gym and eating all the right things. I am pretty sure I will be there well before June as I am at about 15% now.

Things are going okay with me, as I'm making progress in 2/3 fronts.

The whole situation with my girlfriend got a little more complicated with a girl I met last weekend at a party. We hit it off pretty well I thought, but things seem to be looking up with my girlfriend and I.

As for getting a job in the videogame industry, I've been working on my demo reel consistently. That's the good thing. I'm hoping for a release of about April for my reel. Here's to hoping it works out.

The whole gym thing will come as soon as the demo reel is complete. In time.

I'm still eating chocolate every day, so it's working out well.

I've dropped 15 lbs so far so it's going well. I want to lose another 15-20 lbs by the summer. I should get there, if only I could get motivated to actually run or work out, I'm sure my weight lose would be much more speedy.

I guess I've been failing at mine so far. Still only getting 6.5. Damnit.

I have lost 10 pounds since January 14th though. Only need to lose 11 more to hit my goal of 182.

I had four

1) Go to the gym more regularly, I've been going 4 days on three days off and have lost another 8 pounds
2) Eat better - Kinda, I'm actually able to eat breakfeast now, and my dinners are balanced, but I still have trouble with lunch and nausea
3) Find a way to not take things so seriously in the work front - Failed
4) Quit smoking - fail

I am down 12Lbs since January and added 30Lbs to my bench press and 50lbs to my leg press

I hate Insanity workout. Thankfully I live in a concrete building so my neighbours beneath me dont hear me jumping around like a maniac.

Exercise is addictive and its own reward. Keep at it because after a while, you don't feel right if you don't exercise and don't eat well. That doesn't mean you can't cheat on weekends or something but you will adoapt the lifestyle. Music, workout partners, girls at the gym, those are motivators.

As for running, I used to hate it but I dedicated myself to trying running outside for a few weeks and now am in love with it. It's so much better and more fun than being on a treadmill and watching tv. The fresh air, the greenery, everything about is nice. It's tough with Calgary's weather but try it a few times and I hope you become hooked on it too.

I have really bad knee issues so running is exceedingly painful for me. I tried the treadmill, but I end up icing my knees after my workout.

I've gone to 30 minutes of high intensity excercise biking a day. I think I go about 8 km's, and burn 250 calories. I also get to watch family guy while I do it. I usually bike before I go and work on a body part or two using weights and machines, but I'm thinking of shifting the biking part to the end of my workout after some of the things I've read.

Mine's going really well. Eating healthy 90% of the time and going to the gym 4-5 days a week and really enjoying it. Cue snarky comments from Fotze about my weight in 3...2...

I assume you work out at home rather than the gym since you watch Family Guy, but I've also found that my knee hurts if I use the treadmill. I've been using the elliptical machine for my cardio and found it's way way easier on my joints. I like to crank the intensity up to 25/25, and in 45 minutes + a 5 minute cooldown I'm buring over 1100 calories on the elliptical. If you do have access to one, you should give it a try for sure.

I've actually switched from home workouts and bought a gold's membership. I like having access to more excercise options.

They have T.V.s on all of the cardio equipment.

I want to get my fitness to a certain point before I make an a$$ out of myself on an eliptical.
