Any U.S Cp'ers fans of ESPN the magazine?
As I said in a different thread I am starting on my first beginners hockey team. We are all beginners so the cost of pads etc and league fee are quite daunting for a lot of the guy on out team.
We have been kicking around fundraising ideas. Since I am unofficial coach of the team ( bc I lit a fire under my friends to play) the Rink suggested this fundraiser to me. I just want to get ya'lls take on it.
Apparently We can sell 2 yr subscriptions to ESPN the magazine ( that also come with 2 yrs of Espn Insider) for 40 bucks . Looking up on ESPN's website for the magazine from them its 52 dollars for 2 yrs and then 2 yrs of Insider is 2.50 a month for 2 years which is 60 bucks....
We get to keep 75% of what we collect if we sell a certain number of issues. If we dont meet that # then we get to keep 50% which is still pretty good.
I might also add if we dont go this route, the other suggestion is selling buckets of cookies. If we do that we have to sell like 700 buckets to make 4000$
Do you think this is an OK fundraiser?
Mods: I am not trying to have them buy the fundraiser , I am just asking opinions on it . If they wanted to help out they could PM me but this is just an opinion thread.
