Looking for a contractor (sort of)

I'm in the market of buying a condo in the inner city, and the majority of places I am finding need some renos in order for me to be satisfied with living there.

Now, I'm not sure what kind of budget I'm looking at to bring it up to par. There isn't a set condo I've purchased yet, simply because I need to figure out a renovation budget.

Floorinng and paint is simple enough to do, but I'm noticing most places need new fixtures in the bathroom including sink and tile. Also, most places have a gallery style kitchen which I would prefer to open up to an open style with an island.

Any help out there in the CP braintrust?
