Default Whats the Best Live Sports Experience You've Ever Had?

Pretty self explanitory.

Mine would be the US Open Semi-Final last year where Federer hit that amazing shot. Easily th e coolest "once in a life time" thing I've ever seen.

2nd one would be the Flames v. Wings Game 6 in '04. That was awesome.

3rd was Sharks in '07 when the Flames came back from 3-0 with Cujo in net.

Seeing a Canada soccer game was really cool too.

Tottenham vs. Arsenal at White Hart Lane for the North London Derby. Amazing atmosphere - finished 2-2 with a last second equalizer for Spurs by Jermaine Jenas. What a day!

Soo jealous. I would kill to see a match in one of the 3 major leagues.

Preferably Real Madrid vs. Barcelona

I'm planning on attending the Euro 2012 cause it's in Poland and I have a ton of family there

Game 6 2004 vs. Red Wings
Game 6 2004 vs. Sharks

Then I'd say ANY other home game from the 2004 playoffs.

And a few years ago I was at a meaningless Bluejay game when I was in Toronto, and got to witness only the 2nd cycle ever hit by a Blue Jay, and it was by Jeff Frye with Kelly Gruber in attendance...was pretty surreal.

Game 3 2004 vs Lightning

I'd trade it for game 6 against the Wings or Sharks though.

1. Game 6, SCF Lightning @ Flames. That game was unreal, the Saddledome was so electric. Absolutely amazing.

2. WJHC 2003, Gold Medal Game. Russia v. Canada. I never thought I'd be in an atmosphere more electric than the Halifax Metro Centre that night. Unreal.

3. WJHC 2003, Semi-Final. USA v. Canada. Bobby Geoffard put on a clinic, fortunately so did Marc-Andre Fleury. I had no idea how we'd end up scoring, if at all to break the 2-2 deadlock. Fortunately Kyle Wellwood didn't get all on the shot he wanted, which ironically enough caughed Geoffard to be handcuffed and a 3-2 Canada win!

Being from the East Coast, I don't have the same exposure to elite level sports that you have in Calgary. But I'm pretty proud of being in attendance for my top three.

Honourable Mention: Rangers @ Red Sox, May 1998 (I do believe). It was the 7th inning before the shock on being in Fennway wore off and I got to see my Rangers pick up a rare victory.

Grey Cup 2005 - BC place
the first Grey Cup game for me to see live, and it went into double overtime. despite not wanting to cheer for either team (edmonton vs montreal) it was a great game

close second: 2008 CFL west division final - Stamps vs Lions - McMahon stadium
bought tickets from a Calgarypucker(thanks Windom) in the reds the morning of the game, it was a saturday, the crowd was the best I've ever seen it. loud, loud loud and a close game. my first CFL playoff game. awesome. voice was very sore afterwards

close third: 2004 NLL championship game - Calgary vs Buffalo - Pengrowth Saddledome
got tickets from my uncle, crowd was decked out in black, full saddledome, Roughnecks win a back and forth battle that came down to the final minutes. my voice hurt after

If Flames had won game 6 against Tampa, that would have been my #1.

But my best was sitting right beside Walter Gretzky watching Canada win the gold in Salt Lake.

Game six, 2001, Kings eliminate the Wings in OT. It was the loudest I've ever heard Staples Center.

I'm suprised so many people are saying Hockey. I guess there isn't much for sports outside Hockey in Canada but still.

No one here's been outside the country and seen something cool?
