Default WTB Xbox 360 wireless network adapter

Anyone have one or got any ideas where I could get one cheap? Just got CoDMW2 and Left 4 Dead 2 and want to play some online.

You should be able to get used "G" ones for around $30ish Id say, lots of stores are also clearing them out since the "N" one came out a couple months ago. THey were on sale for $89 on boxing day, reg $99.

Just to toss in my 2 cents, I had both G and N Xbox adapters and ended up going with a powerline adapter (internet through your house's power outlets). It ended up being almost as fast as directly running ethernet cable, and my ping (which matters way more for gaming than throughput does) was again on par with a wired connection. Performance with powerline really depends on how direct the connection is between the two plug-ins you're using.

Cost me $110, but I can pull 85Mbps for HD streaming, and my ping is much better than when I was wireless.

I would love to just run a hardline straight to the console, but my idiot roomie got the Shaw guy to install the modem in his room upstairs and I live in the basement and can't run a cord three floors. I'll guess I'll just keep looking at stores trying to clear them out or looking on kijiji or ebay, cheapest I've found has been 50+ bucks though. Thanks guys.

I just went out and bought one from Futureshop today. Cost me 70 bucks and I'm up and running on Xbox Live, getting my ass handed to me. At then end of the day, it was like 10 bucks more expensive than eBay but I have it now and don't have to wait weeks for it to get shipped.

Move the modem...Its just a cable connection. Should enter the house near the elec panel.

Do you have a PC with a wireless connection near the XBOX? You can bridge the connection to the XBOX. That's what I did, cause I'm too cheap to buy a $90 wireless adapter.

NM, I reread the thread and see you bought it. But for anyone else, bridging the network may be an option.
