Default FOUND Cat5 crimper and cat5 ends

Thank you to suzles and her very kind husband for lending me the tool!

Hey I was wondering if anyone has a cat5 crimper I could borrow for a day or 2. I have a bunch of damaged or 2 long of cords I would like to play around with and see if I can shorten them. I know I can just go buy one for 20 bucks but I thought I would see if I could just borrow someones here. I am in the se in new brighton or can meet down town during the day. And if anyone has some extra plug ends laying around I will take them to!

My husband can offer both the loan of the crimper and give you some ends (if by ends you mean the transparent plugs?) We are in Cedarbrae - is that convenient for you? I am a housewife so I am home, most likely as not, during the daytime.

I think you need to make sure the cable and ends match up as far as solid/stranded wire are concerned.

Duffman - do you mean when I am making to cords? I have a tutorial on how to make them and how the individual strands in the cord need to be placed into the plug

More than likely you're ok, but just check your cables to make sure it is not a couple of thin wires in each single jacket.
