Default Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien

Premier is tonight:

http://www.tonightshowwithconanobrien.com/index.shtml

Will the show be watered-down for the earlier demographic?

Tonight - Will Ferrell and Pearl Jam.

Conan is 10x funnier than Leno IMO. I have high expectations.

ya but 10x0 still equals zero...

Seriously does anyone actually watch these shows and laugh... I maybe groan slightly when the cheese is so over the top bad that I am uncomfortable with silence. I'll admit I stopped watching talk shows a long time ago... I just find them completely unfunny and very poorly scripted/staged.

^^^To a certain extent I agree. I find some monologues just so not funny and some of the jokes are pretty obvious that I could have written them. I do however really enjoy the features, in between the monologue and the first guest is usually the best segment of the show. I love when they send reporters to events, or have hidden cameras, or Jaywalking, headlines, Triumph,........stuff like that is sometimes just pure gold.

I'm looking forward to Conan tonight, but will probably turn it off when I see Will Ferrell.....I hate that dude.

Right. I almost forgot about Andy.

"The only down side was I felt like I might have to eat some crow from some of the more snarky members of the entertainment press," admits the 42-year-old actor and comedian. "But then I thought, 'Crow can be prepared in very delicious ways. Crow burrito. I love burritos!' "

"I'm just so thrilled to be working with friends and getting out of having to sit across the table from idiots," he laughs

Can't stand andy when he was on the show. Having a sidekick on a late night show was lame and hideous.

Do you even watch late-night talkshows? Andy is/was awesome.

Really? I wish they'd still do it more. Seemed to work for Johnny Carson.

The thing I like the most about Conan (other than his features after the monologue) are his interviews. The guy is so sporadic and self depreciating during his interviews, I find them hilarious.

I'll admit his monologues are pretty weak though. Thankfully, they don't last too long. I wonder if he'll have to do a lot longer monolgue now that he's ont he Tonight Show.

No, I don't think so. He says that he's a skit guy compared to a monologue guy like Leno.

I'm interested in one of his first bits this week, going to find out what people think of him. Reminds me of when he went to Texas? at 3am when Late Night was on to find out if people watched him

I hope he has more Triumph the Insult Comic dog on there. The one where he's at the premiere of the Star Wars movie is still my all time favorite late night bit. I must have watched that over 10 times by now, and I still find it hilarious.
