At 8PM at night it could be tough but what about a Home Depot? Or a Flower nursery?

Don't gas stations sell those sand bags that people put as weight in the back of their trucks. Call around to a few gas stations ... someone is bound to carry some.
Good luck.

Canadian Tire? Some CT stores may still have some sand left over from the summer that may be easily accessible. Although, at this time of night, I guess this suggestion may be a bit late.

WHERE DO I GET IT HERE!?
I've looked at Michaels website, and they only have kids coloured sand, and I just want plain sand!
Anyone know of any crafts stores here in the city that carry sand!
Thanks in advance.

Check gas stations. They have the bags of sand, or some even have the sand cans that are used to clean up spilled gasoline. Have atter just make sure no-ones around.

home depot play sand is the best bet.
Failing which, try www.albertaaquatica.ca and see if there is an aquarium enthusiast who can help at the last minute.
