Default those double walled, hard plastic cups at starbucks

Hey has anyone seen those, or better yet, used them? They look just like the cup you get your frapp in, but it's hard plastic and double walled with a lid and straw to keep your drinks cold. I'm thinkin this could be the answer to keeping drinks cold on the beach this coming holiday. Kind of pricey (what isnt at starbuck$) so thought I'd inquire CP first!!

You just wanted to find a way to tell people that you are going to the beach in December, didn't you?

More like he just wants an excuse to go to Starbucks.

Do you mean those re-usable cups that are meant to look like the disposable ones? I don't know if those cups work but you can probably find cheaper ones at places other than Starbucks. I know I've seen them kicking around.

I find that any sort of cup with stainless steel inside coated in ceramic on the outside is superior to all for keeping hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold.

Yup, we're getting warmer now, except the lid is just flat rather than the bubble type lid.

This is the one you mean?

Wouldn't the sun go through the plastic and melt it quicker? I like my version of the Bubba Keg. It's big enough that I don't have to keep going back to the bar and waste valuable tanning time.

Cool picture.

Yeah, I thought of the bubba keg, but I find that they have a bit of plasticky aftertaste to them. I'm thinkin that the starbucks one wont. Maybe. I dunno.

Yup. Thats the one. You can get different sizes. There's a pretty large one. You dont get the plasticky taste with your bubba?

Before you leave, fill it full of rum and let it sit for a week. That should get rid of the taste. (are you sure the taste isn't from cheap mexican tequila?)

And with Bubba: I've had my margarita still frozen after an hour! Works like a sonofab*tch!!!

use a regular coffee thermos (one of those decent ones that look like the hold more than they actually do) , same idea, for insulation, doesn't matter if it's hot things hot or cold things cold. Coffee mug would probably work better as the sunlight wouldn't be able to get in either.

Hmmm.....yeah. I'd feel like a bit of a liquor pig cruising up to the bar with a half gallon thermos in hand!

"Hola, fill 'er up por favor!"

No doubt they fill it and likely think nothing of it, but I feel like a pig enough with a bubba!!
