Gift baskets. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Skip the bath-products thing. That's just creepy to get from a guy you hardly know.
Timmy's cards will do in a pinch. They send the message that you barely cared enough to get anything/were forced to get something, though.
Head to the Second Cup or Starbucks. They'll have something already put together and wrapped that will be a step up from Timmy's cards and take less than 15 minutes to do.
Under no circumstances will you give chocolates. 9 out of 10 secretaries would really prefer the porn.

so...if it's a present swap, and you give to 7 secretaries, do you get 7 back?
It's too bad you didn't have one more day as you could probably find one of those visit your office massage places and get them all 15 min neck/shoulder or hand massages. Cost you a couple of hours of masseuse time but you'd score big points. Perhaps it would be worth a bit of investigation tonight and a call or two in the morning to see if you could get someone out on short notice.
Failing that, Anna's got ya covered.

Actually, one thing I saw was that if you buy a gift card for Melrose, you get a free shaker (probably small). Might be a good different gift, though.

Wow - that's a rough spot......new guy (first impressions time!) and only a day to figure it out!
I like the gift card idea. Simple, put's the power in their hands, and is probably appropriate as a "professional" gift. Tim's and/or Starbucks are probably safe bets. Best of luck regardless.
