Default Cell Phone Question

I thought maybe someone could help me out with a cell phone question:

It seems he has a non-registered, opened ESN Blackberry through Telus. Unfortunately he shared the plan (along with other assets) with an ex, who managed to land them in some credit problems.

Now he is looking to keep his cell phone activated without doing "pay as you go" and does not want to get on a plan. He wanted to know if he has to deal with Telus through this, or is there a company that could meet these requirements.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Im kinda lost, you need to do pay as you go, or be on a plan otherwise you would be getting a free phone, or am I missing something Unless your talking about a month to month plan, which I have never heard of.

If he has a phone that's not linked to a plan he should be able to go month to month with Telus...although koodo (the 'budget brand' for Telus) might have a better plan depending on what he is looking for.

If you go Koodo, you have to use one of their phones.
