The CTrain has hit a car at 4th St and 7th Ave SW (near eaton center) I was walking a block ahead of it when it happened.

Friday the 13th Strikes again.

Alright here we go.
Hopefully no one is hurt but I'd be willing to put money on two things.

1) a bunch of people are gonna get all in a huff about safety at the C-Train crossings
2) The guy that got hit ran a red light (ie nothing to do with safety, just stupidity)

Again, hope no one is hurt, this kinda thing rarely ends well.

There is nothing I hate more than hearing about train vs. car or train vs. pedestrain accidents. They are so avoidable, people should be aware enough to not get caught up in that situation.

Lotsa action happening downtown these days. I watched some guy roll his car at the intersection of 4th Ave and 6th St. yesterday. He was okay, and walked away without injury but it sure made my morning a little more interesting...

The car for sure ran a Red light. Coming out from under Eatons Centre Walk over I imagine they were not paying attention or did not see the light.

The funny thing is that there is a red light camera on 4th street up 1 block. (in front of knox church)

edit for red light cam.

Oh man, I have no idea. He didn't hit anything, or any cars or anything. I didn't see it happen, I just looked out my window after hearing a screetch, and saw him sliding upside down on his roof.

EDIT: If only i could spell...

In areas with intersections very close together it is easy to look ahead one set of lights by accident. I'd say its a hell of alot easier to run a red downtown by accident compared to on deerfoot.

Considering there are very few lights on Deerfoot, I'd say you're right.

Is it cleaned up? If not, does anyone know when? Wondering if it's going to affect my commute to work too much.
