GOT IT!LOOKING FOR Timber Fireplace Mantel

Actually a supplier or supply install.

We redid the fireplace and are looking for an 8x8x80" peice of semi rough Fir to use as a mantel.....I am finding a lot of dead ends. Anybody have any ideas?

I just replaced some beams in my house which were close to that. I am going to use them for projects but you may be able to find something at a building restoration/recycler. Maybe check with some contracters that do renovations. They would replace old solid beams occasionally.
