Default Fits of rage, everybody's had one...

Inspired by losers and their video games, let us all share our moments of uncontrollable anger. Hopefully no one incriminates themselves too badly.

By far my worst:

2004 playoffs. Round 1. Game 7. It's been 15 years since the Flames have won a playoff round. Probably 15 to 20 of my closest friends and family are at our house watching the game. As everyone knows, the Flames are up by 1 with seconds left. Iginla blows a tire, Canucks go end to end and score with mere seconds remaining. In that moment, the 15 years of anticipation that had been built in my mind transferred into all out rage. I got up and threw our Shaw remote as hard as I could across the room, hitting a brick wall. It was in at least 2 dozens pieces, and everyones attention had shifted from the TV to me, and the remote. All I could think of to say at the time was, "those aren't built strong enough." Given the same set of circumstances, I can't say I wouldn't act in the same way again. I was really angry. Obviously it was all for nothing, as we won anyways!

Haha, I'm sure many of us had rage at the same time as the OP. Was watching with my brother and dad, and both me and my brother had a huge meltdown. My dad had a real concerned look of shock as I don't think he'd seen us so angry before.

I also had a mini rage the other day while running and popped a blood vessel in my face. I wasn't actually angry, just having an intense sprint while listening to some intense music and raging to keep going.

Only one time in my life did I have a moment of rage, I ended up yelling at a 'friend' and made it quite clear I was fed up with him. Thankfully he never really hung out with me again.

It takes a lot to get me to a point where I raise my voice in anger, and it would take a lot more for that rage to manifest itself physically.

I felt pretty much the same way. That has to have been one of the most deflating moments of my life, I simply couldn't believe it and figured our best chance was gone as of that point. I simply walked upstairs, sat in my room and chain smoked as I looked out the bedroom window looking at nothing really. Just sat there steaming.......half our later I was downtown hanging out my roommates cars sunroof waiving a massive Flames flag in a massive sea of cars on 17th.

Funny how things can turn 180 degrees in a half hour.

That play still should have been blown down after that knob through his jacket on the ice

that play made me so angry. debris on the ice, and, iggys stick was chopped out of his hand which he then tripped on. its partly why i still hate the canucks, its seriously the driteist play in hockey history. thats a perfect example of cheating... not breaking the rules, blatant cheating.

If the Canucks had won that series... all hell would have broken loose. The only thing is, we would not riot in Calgary, we would all collectively grab torches and pitchforks and burn Vancouver to the ground.

what i like is that over the span of 12 years, all of Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary had trips to the Stanley Cup final and lost in game 7. one city rioted, the other went stab happy, and Calgary just partied and had a good time

Frankly I'm more embarrassed my city (Edmonton) was guilty of shooting a firework at the girl in the shopping car then a couple of stabbings that were really unrelated to hockey.

Oh, and I'm embarrassed some girl thought hopping into a shopping cart in a skirt was a good idea.

Heh Heh...funny that you would make this post today because it's relevant for me based off recent events.
I have a 'friend' (we haven't really been friends for 2 years...) who always sends text msgs when one of his teams (Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton) is doing well against the flames. And of course only when one of his teams is doing well. Normally I ignore them because responding to them inevitably leads to the texting equivalent of a flame war. But last night I bit. I responded with some snarky comments about 7uongo. Of course the flame war began and it led to personal attacks on me (I kept it to hockey).
I sent a messaging that basically said "if you're going to respond with personal attacks then don't bother txting me about hockey" which I thought was pretty reasonable given the circumstances. That led to even more hideous personal attacks against me and basically we're friends off now.

My recent fit of rage...

We were at a buddy's house watching that game. After Vancouver scored that goal I honestly let out a blood-curdling scream that turned into a rage-filled "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo ooooo!!!!"

I felt a bit sheepish afterward, but my hatred for Vancouver was so strong I just couldn't hold back.

I've got to admit that I've got my own fit of rage story.A while back, I actually signed a contract to play hockey in Russia (I'm a goalie).Anyway, I got pulled, and as I was sitting on the bench, some jerk Russian tried to put a hat on my head. I mean can you believe it....a hat....on my head! Anyway, I threw a few punches and chased him down the hall, and everyone made a big deal about it, but I stand by my reaction. I mean seriously...a hat?!?!?!

Yeah I punched a solid oak table after the Canucks tied that game. It messed my hand up so badly that a few months later during my annual appointment the doctor noticed and asked me what happened to it, I shook that fist and replied "Damn Canucks!" He laughed and replied "thank goodness for Gelinas".

My best story wasn't actually me, but I was on the receiving end.

When I was about 16 me and my best bud used to always give each other charlie horses. So one day we were over at his house and he had given me a pretty good one earlier that day and I was lookng for vengeance. He was sitting on a stool facing sideways and I hauled off to give him a good one on the outer thigh. Unfortunately he caught in his peripheral vision and turned really fast while I was in mid swing. Needless to say I got him right where no guy should ever get punched with a knuckle as hard as possible.

So here somes the rage part... It was mostly instinctive I think, but at that point he lurches up and gives me a right hook to the temple. I dropped like a stone, and then he fell over. We both laid on the ground for at least twenty minutes, me semi-conscious, him, I don't want to imagine how he was feeling... We were pretty pissed at each other for about an hour after that, but then we got over it...
