Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry tells the Las Vegas Sun, "Steven quit, as far as I can tell." Frontman Tyler apparently told classicrockmagazine.com that he's moving beyond the band, stating that he's going to be "working on the brand of myself, brand Tyler."

Have they even done anything in the last decade to justify them being together? Seems like a split is rather pointless.

Always have like Aerosmith. I have to agree though that they have really fallen off in the last 10 years. Give them 5 years and they'll be back for a reunion tour. He just needs time to work on not looking like old woman .

Last time they were in town they were all approaching 60 and still gliding onto the stage via lines from the ceiling. Impressive if you ask me.
