Prefer somewhere in south part of Calgary.

Ginger Geef House in Willow Park. No buffet is ever "great", but this one is definitely better than the giant ones...

There's a good one on 32nd NE by Barlow or 36th Street. I can't remember the name. Will come back.
Edit: Singapore Sams.
Consensus from coworkers, however, is that the place is dirty. I've never had a problem... that I knew about.

I used to like to go to the Empress Restaurant & Buffet on MacLeod Tr S (corner of Southland Dr) but since it was sold early this year, the food isn't as good anymore.

I would also say Ginger Beef in Willow Park. Now you can grab a Crave Cupcake right across the parking lot for dessert as well!

Signapore Sam's Downtown is awesome at lunch.
Smaller selections but the quality is terrific (for a buffet).
Plus they have the Mongolia style stir fry too.

If you don't mind heading a little bit south of Calgary, The Big Rock Inn in Okotoks has an awesome Chinese buffet. And as an added incentive, if you have a party of 4 or more, when you order 3 buffets the 4th is "FREE"!!.

I find Big Rock's buffet hit or miss, with more miss than hit - the takeout is always so much better.

That's used to be Foody Goody years ago. The food was terrible when it was Foody Goody but is much better since they changed over.
