Blues sign Four

The Blues GM couldn't sleep last night, so he went scouring for prospects. We found four players that interested us and we signed them for the Rivermen.

1.Chad Johnson G-Top Ten Finalist for the Hobey Baker award. Currently 6-3 with 1 SO for Hartford.

2. Matt Climie G- An undrafted college goalie picked up by the Dallas Stars. In his 1st year pro, he went from the ECHL to playing 3 NHL games. Currently splitting duty with Brent Krahn in Texas. Sporting a 1.12 GAA in 7 games.

3. Matt Taomina D- Undrafted college player signed by the Lowell Devils. 12 points in his first 15 games.

4 Jerome Samson RW-Undrafted free agent signing by the Hurricanes. Not sure if he'll amount to anything in the NHL, but he's put up 108 points in 149 AHL games.

To make space, Jordan Pearce, Mikka Wiikman, Tegan Zahn and Morten Maddsen have all been released

Never heard of any of them...but you tend to sign a number of free agents who end up turning into something so maybe they will.

Climie is a good signing. He was one of 2 guys I had to pick from last week to sign. I went with Laliberte instead but Climie is a good prospect.
