Finding a Long Lost Relative

So my 14 month old twins have an aunt from their mother's side. But she was adopted at birth and I am now trying to look for her and I really have no idea where to start.

All I know is that she is about 33 or 34 years old, I know the name of the biological father and I know she was born in Winnipeg.

What sort of options do I have? Private Instigator? Are there any good websites to visit to even help me begin this search?

Manitoba is a closed records province. Adoptees still do not have the right to access their original birth certificates, nor can natural parents obtain the adopted names of the child they lost to adoption.
Non-identifying information is available to natural parents, adoptees, and other natural family members. Manitoba also maintains a passive registry and staff will also conduct active searches. Identifying information can only be obtained with prior consent of the person who is being identified.
Essentially , I think if you can locate the natural (biological) Dad or Mom and they are willing to help, then they can get the info and the adopted person is contacted and asked if they consent to release of the info. from what I understand....but I understand very little and comprehend even less. I can't speak about your situation, but just last month, I finally located long lost relatives in Bosnia. I had to actually get on a plane and ask around in villages until I found them.

Different situation, but I can understand why you want to do what you are doing and wish you all the luck. For me, it was the most fulfilling moment of my life.

My Dad has done alot of geneology on our family, and has had a tremendous amont of help from the Mormons down in Cardston. From what I gather, "they" can pray for their ancestors to get into Heaven, so they take their research quite seriously.
