Canada to release World Junior Invites tomorrow
Canada will release the invites for this years tournament tomorrow. Which Flames prospect will get the invite? Nemisz is a no brainer. How about Brodie and Howse?

Brodie's got a good shot... Neimsz will probably get an invite but I wouldn't say he's a no-brainer.

Nemisz has a much better shot of making the team, imo.

I would be shocked if team Canada passed on a player like Nemisz.
Big yet quick(ish) with great hands, and plays an excellent 2-way game, AND has loads of experience in high pressure games.
Brodie and Howse are tougher to guess. Chilliwack is considered kind of a secondary CHL franchise so that might hurt Howse (politics is a crappy reason to get passed on). And Canada is always stacked with great D-options.
Claeren.

I would agree that he is a no brainer.
Would also like to see Adam Henrique from Windsor get the invite.

Am I reading that right that only 1 player from the WHL's Western Conference was invited (Brandon McMillan)?
EDIT: didn't see Jared Cowen never mind..

Im not worried about him.
USA is stupid for leaving him off the roster.
Hes leading his team in points right now and is out-pointing Kyle Beach who went 11th overall in 2008.

I don't know too much about any of the new invitees from the WHL, NCAA and the Q. Does anybody want to comment on those?

Brodie and Lalonde are both much better players at this point than DeHaan... that pick was ridiculous reach by the Islanders. His point totals are down this year and he's got miles to go defensively. No idea how he landed an invite besides the fact he was drafted high.

I disagree with your assesment of De Haan's abilities, altough I have to say that given the current situation I do prefer Brodie slightly if only for maurity and strength.
De Haan's point totals are expectd to go down since Tavares and Parnham are both not playing with Oshawa and they are a terrible team this year. He's a solid guy who's just a solid two way skating defenceman and you can never have too many of those. He's one of the few plus players on his team.

The Flames only have two players left that can make their WJ team.
Ortio with Finland and Nemisz with Canada.
