Default Ikea Kitchens: Who has one?

I did a quick search and all I found was an old thread from 2006 about DIY cabinet install... so, here is my question:

Does anyone have an Ikea kitchen in their house? Do you like it? Pros, cons? How is it holding up to wear and tear? Most products I've purchased from Ikea tend to fall apart pretty quick, but the kitchens seem to look good and the 25 year warranty seems decent. The price also seems right.

I'm considering redo-ing our kitchen using Ikea cabinets and am just looking for any feedback from people who've had experience with them.

I installed one in my old house in inglewood. I was there for 3 years. It looked fantastic and held up great. If you compare quality to similarly priced units from Home Depot/Rona etc, the Ikea is much better.

I've never owned an IKEA kitchen, but I did use to work as a Kitchen Planner at IKEA. So while I can't answer any questions about owning one, I might be able to help with other questions.

We have one. Was pretty much the first big reno we did to the house making the kitchen about 10 years old. No issues with any of the cabinets, hardware, or anything Ikea. We did have the added benefit of installation help from a friend who is a cabinet maker which helped us avoid at least one pitfall. Beyond that, everything works fine and it still looks good. The shelves have stood up well, we have one long shelf which has a fair amount of cans/jars on on and there is perhaps a small amount of sagging but it's not noticeable.

That could be handy for sure. I'm just working with the home planner tool right now to see what we can do in our space. I might PM you if I have more questions!

Thanks to everyone else for the replies. If there's anyone else out there... keep 'em coming.

The wife and I put in a cost effective Ikea kitchen about 4 years ago and it's holding up just fine as far as I can tell, and it looks great!.
