But its true. I know theres some GMs who've been waiting for the Flyers to make a move (appreciate the support syl and matt) so for you guys we made a move.

To Philly: Thoma Vanek
To Minny: Daniel Alfredsson + Cody Hodgson

"Alffy has sucked and was demoted to the 3rd line in todays game vs the Pinks in st.louis, so we get a nice young sniper who has been producing this year." Said Schum

With the deal the Flyers saved some cap too, 500K to be exact.

Well Schum dangled the type of asset that gets me going...elite prospect still in the ECHL. It's like frickin crack for me.

Alfie appears to have a lot of years left so I'm less worried about his age than I usually would be. Vanek is a guy I've liked for a long time but I think his skating is holding him back from being a 50 goal man. Still a great young player - but I think Hodgson is the real deal.

That all being said - I'm open to now flipping Alfie for anyone that is interested.
