Default Anyone live between 9th and 6th Street and 14th and 17th Ave SW...

and hear a good flurry of gunshots this morning around 6:05 am?

Holy moly, woke up to about a dozen gunshots in the space of about 15 seconds. Called the cops and about 20 minutes later heard the helicopter over that part of town.

Yikes. I used to live on 14th Ave and 5th St. I loved being downtown but a big reason I moved is it just seemed really unsafe with all the drug dealing out in the open and the prostitution in our alley, etc. I know the shootings and whatnot can happen in any area of the city, but still...

I used to live in a condo on 14th ave and centre street S, on the same street as the mustard seed.

I swear that I could hear my property value dropping like a rock every morning.

One of the best purchases that I ever did.

Nope, didn't hear a thing. I was still dead to the world at that time of the morning.

Yes, I live across from that. It wasn't gunshots, it was 5 a$$holes who decided that it was a good idea to fire some fireworks off at 6 am right across from my bedroom window. It sure was loud, and I thought the same thing at first, but the red flares were unmistakable.

I'd like to know more about why they decided to do that. I'm surprised I didn't see police after that.

Haha, thanks! I looked out my window and saw the red lights, but to me they looked like brake lights.

I was convinced that I was in the middle of a warzone. There were like 12 different reports!

I also called it in and the police took it pretty seriously. I'm pretty sure I saw the HAWCS helicopter fly over about 20 minutes later.
