Stars Acquire Saku Koivu
As part of the Pittsburgh Purge, the Dallas Stars have acquired Saku Koivu and reclaimed their 2010 2nd round pick.
Going back to Pittsburgh is winger JP Dumont and the Stars 2011 2nd rounder.
Despite the Stars good start to the season, Dumont was part of the Stars struggling top line, only having 1 goal and 2 assists in 9 games. Koivu will take over as the top line center (unless we quickly trade him again) and Matt Cullen will move to the wing when he comes back from his bruised knee.
