Late November to early Decemeber. Varies quite a bit. The sooner the better!

Darn, I was hoping for early november. Christmas just seems so late for ice to arrive.

What is the reason for variation? Obviously the weather must be cold enough, but are we talking sustained -20s?

Yeah, Tuscany Club doesn't usually put in ice until early December regardless of weather conditions.

Actually 99% of outdoor rinks don't operate on a system like that.

Even if Calgary is -10 for the next month most outdoor rinks likely won't open until the end of November/early Dec.
