Hard to give up Kennedy but this is the exact deal i wanted, I was pretty top heavy with youth and am happy with most of my forwards so I decided to work on defence now for the rebuilding stage. Ive learned the hard way that CPHL d-men are pretty hard to get so this was a no brainer for me. Carlo has a similar rating to kennedy and is a pretty good puck-moving D man and I get a 2nd out of the deal which also helps with the rebuilding. Thanks Grant for the easy and quick deal.

The deal makes sense for both sides, the Avs have needed to work on their defense for a while so this is a good start.

We like Kennedy - he's young and could be a 20-25 goal guy.

Kennedy is a young guy who's put up better totals than his talent evaluations have suggested. I was gun shy to make a deal for him because in the past with this type of player....the player became who everyone thought he was! But I think at the least Kennedy should be a good third line guy.
