The Blues have swung a huge deal with the Ducks. Going over to Anaheim is disgruntled winger David Booth. Coming back to St Louis is veteran winger/center Ollie Jokinen.

Ollie is that big name game breaker we've been looking for and to get him for a useless scrub like Booth is a price I'm more then willing to pay. Thanks to Ravi for coming to me with this deal, and for being more then willing to send me that suitcase of cash to pay for Ollie this season.

The Blues would now be willing to move Scott Gomez for a similarly rated winger

Unfortunately the Olli experiment failed in Anaheim. He failed to do anything with top line minutes then once he was demoted the team actually scored some goals.

This was a classic deal, trade the older, higher rated veteran along with cash for a lower rated winger who is younger. Hopefully these guys can find some way to produce and help their new teams.

I just read Joke and St.Louis, which do pretty well together, wasn't thinking about the GM though.

And I hear one of the conditions for Punk to accept this joke of a deal was to have the quacks throw some dirt at the Flyers in their post trade summary. You gotta do anything to turn that flamers filled mess in anaheim. You're lucky you don't have that Iginla character yet, than you'd pretend you have some leadership on your team.

From a player standpoint I would rather have Booth on my team, but from a CPHL standpoint this trade makes sense for Spike. Booth struggled on the Habs and subsequently sucked on the Blues so hopefully Spike can get some chemistry with Jokinen now.

Ravi, I never would have thought in a million years you'd trade a Flame away for Booth...first Grant trades Berglund and now you trade for Booth...the CPHL is turning upside down!

People seem to go all ga-ga over Florida Panthers players thinking they're some wicked awesome commodity that no one ever sees and are some great secret.

I got news for everyone, that team is terrible, they suck, and all of their players or former players are over rated! This is an advanced dufus for dufus deal. One is just younger and cheaper than the other and still stuck on that joke of an NHL team.
