Default Bell Mobility users....

Can you tell me about Bell and their services.

are they good, bad or indifferent.

Better than Telus? worse?

I am trying to make an informed decision about switching and would like to know your take on them.

I used to hate Rogers with a passion. Then I went with Bell and took my hatred of my wireless provider to depths I never thought possible.

I am curious to the reasons for the dislike of Bell.

I am a bell mobility customer and I have never had a problem with their service (Except for the dead spot on Hwy 93) but every provider looses their signal at the same spot on that highway.

Bell is just a cellphone company. You pay them to use a service and they send you a bill for it. If you've been 'screwed over' you didn't do a good job explaining your problem. It's not that hard to convince a them they did something wrong.

Total bullsh*t. They're lying thieves that refuse to listen to logic and refuse to look at proof. Bell is the worst company I've ever dealt with. Ever.

EVER!
You have obviously never dealt with Telus.

Bell has yet to screw me over, all the charges seem fair. The one time I did talk to someone, he seemed mildly competent.

The times I have called Telus, I could barely understand what he was saying, asked to be transferred but wouldn't let me... just a gong show.

I have been with Bell for over 6 years. No complaints. I hate Telus with the fire of a thousand suns.

usually people who say they were screwed over is self inflicated. i find anytime we cant pay a bil on time and get cut off "we got screwed" so really lets get over that.

i was with rogers and wasnt happy with services; that was simply because it never worked on my basement. however i have no issues with bell.

We overpaid our last Bell bill by a few bucks 2 years ago. They send me a bill showing I have a credit every month and send a cheque every once and awhile which I never cash.

It's payback for years of late statements being sent out.

This is very, very sad. I'm in the UK and I just switched from Vodafone to Orange yesterday. Today my phone arrived and unfortunately it was the wrong model so I called them up. Being use to Canadian service providers I was gearing up in case they tried to pin the whole thing on me. The lady answered, I told her what happened, and she okay we'll re-send your order. She didn't even ask me if I was sure that I ordered the right model! Even more of a change, they are out of the model I want so she arranged a reminder on her computer to remind her every couple of hours to check if my phone gets re-stocked! I was kind of choked because I got my hopes up when the package came only to be shot down when I opened it, but the kind treatment I received from Orange put me at ease. It feels so different to be a valued customer...

After my parents' contracts with Telus ran out, I called them and got a very good deal on a share plan for all of us. Voicemail and Caller ID were thrown in for my folks, and a couple bucks off a month was reduced for me since I was a new customer. The closest Bell could do was $20 a month more expensive, because we would have been all new customers with Bell. It may be worth it to stick with Telus if you get a deal.

I've never had trouble with Bell, they've actually treated me very well.

Ditto for me. I was with them for years before recently moving to Telus under a corporate plan. Bell was always really good to me, and I'll jump to them if I get the opportunity again.

As a general rule, if you start a thread about any major Canadian telecom company, you're going to get some people replying saying they're the worst company EVER and to avoid them like the plague, and others will say they've never had any problems and are happy with the service.

The same is probably also true about the "Big 5" banks (Royal, TD, Scotia, CIBC, BMO), but we don't often have threads about banking.

They are like every other Cell Phone provider out there, they suck you in for 3 years to get the phone you want. You bill is ALWAYS more than you think its gonna be, they are always on your ass to get your money but could give a damn about giving it back to you. Loyalty means nothing to them. And you always think you can get a better rate/deal/phone/plan from another provider once your under contract with them, once your hooked they want your first born and a night with your significant other to get out of your contract.

By the above described logic, Bell has been taking my money for a few years now and they are as good as any of the other Cell Phone Bandits out there.

I have been pretty satisfied with all of those providers. I try to keep my hooker killing to a minimum though.
