Flames win their season opener! Spezza and Kunitz each pitch in with a goal and an assist. Cam Ward makes 29 saves in the win. The team is already 100 times better than last year.

[Radically Red]

tough loss to the Flames. Pretty even game. The Ref sure favored the Flames though. 7 powerplayers to 1 for us.

Team was flat falling behind 3-0 and could despite a 3rd period rally could not draw even.

The Nashville Predators will not go winless this season! (There were some fears!). Mikhail Grabovsky scores the shootout winner and starts the season out on a winning note. The winning streak probably ends tomorrow as we face the Rangers, but at least we proved its doable!

Well, our farm team impressed in it's first outing. Surprised we even got 3 GF in this game.

Damn, another loss in extra time, this time in the Shoot out. We tied it late again but this team needs to learn to play well from the get-go!

Iginla leads the way with 3 assists as the Hurricane winds blow through the maple leafs.

The Hurricanes jumped to an eairly 3-1 lead in the opening period as the 'Canes top players equaled into the scoring as Joe Thornton, Jeff Carter and Henrik Zetterberg all netting their first goal of the season.

Rookie callup Greg Campbell also scored his 1st career CPHL goal in his first game to give the Hurricanes a commanding 4-1 lead to rid out into the sunset with.

'Canes defender Shane O'Brien suffered a bruised foot during the second period and is expedted to be sidlined up to 2 weeks. Andy Greene who played the full preseason but took a backseat to callup Bruno Gervais is expected to take o"brien's spot in the lineup and a chance to find a way back to the starting lineup
