It is amazing how much better the coverage is. I remember when i switched my signal strenght improved and I didnt have any deadzones in the city.

Really? Seems opposite for me oddly enough. Bell is >>> Telus but I still get the best connection with Rogers. However, I like the way Bell does things... for the most part

At the time i switched I travelled to Olds a couple days a week. With Rogers I had trouble getting receptions past Airdrie. Bell = no problem

Ugh I hate the 140 character restriction Bell imposes on the text messages.

Is this thread a bump from 1999? Rogers is excellent...I've been a customer since 1997 and would never go anywhere else.

I like it... If it takes more than 140 Characters to get your point across... just Call.

Oh I suppose if you mean traveling around Alberta. Bell is known to have good coverage around Canada but Rogers probably has better city coverage and shoddy town coverage. If I remember right, the CR told me it had to do with the frequency. GSM works better in a shorter area but worse with distance? Something along those lines.

It's a little annoying. Sometimes I'll be in class or out of town and I have no option to text. I'll get it in 2 chunks sometimes it takes a couple minutes to get it.

I'm with Fido (Rogers)... I like the coverage, the customer service and the price. The only thing that bell does is annoy me with people who can barely speak english.

Weird, I stick with Rogers because the coverage is excellent, lol.

There can be a big difference with phone models, even within the carrier. So you can have 2 phones on the same company and one works and the other doesn't.
