Default What's The Best DVD Creating Software (under $50)?

I was trying to burn some DVD's on Windows DVD Maker (mostly of .avi files), and it's been taking almost 24 hours in a row to encode two hours worth of video clips, so I just decided to stop using it and get some other software.

So, my question is, what is the best (downloadable) DVD authoring software that I can get for under $50? I don't need anything really fancy, just something that can create a high quality DVD with a nice menu and in a reasonable amount of time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ConvertXtoDVD is probably the simplest/fastest/easiest program I've ever used:

http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

and look at that, it's $49.99!

I use DVD Flick. It's pretty simple and free. Takes about 1/2 hour to convert a 700 MB avi file to a full DVD. Might not have enough bells and whistles though for some people. It still probably worth giving it a try since it costs $0.
