Want to own every National Geographic since 1888? For less than $50?

This is pretty cool! Not sure how much I'd actually use it though, but still...

That will make a cool Christmas gift for any budding naturalist.

I started subscribing in 1979 and then, with the passing of my father, inherited the issues he'd collected since he'd subscribed in 1963.
I also have various individual issues dated back to 1929, including two "Hillary Climbs Everest" issues from, I think, 1956.
Needless to say, I have a very yellow bookcase along one wall in my study. And very, very heavy.
I'm like Captain James Tiberius Kirk in one modest respect though . . . . . I'd rather have the paper sliding along the fingers than read something like National Geographic on a CD.

The real brilliant moment will be when they bundle it with an app so you can print your own identical versions to the originals.
A few years off... but not too many.

CD-ROM? Wouldn't DVD be the obvious choice here? I must be missing something.

I have some issues from the 30s and 40s and I enjoy the ads the most.
I have one with a Kodak ad that has an Indian in a headdress and the tagline is Don't get Scalped, pay less for Kodak film.

I hope every page is included with this. I think one of the most enjoyable part of flipping through old magazines is looking through the advertising.

Wow - I honestly haven't heard the term 'CD-ROM' in about 8 years.

It's DVD not CD-ROM, that's a misprint.
I agree with Cowperson, there's something about having the hard copy... but you can't search hard copy either, and mags weigh so much.. I've moved magazine collections so many times that I've been conditioned to throw them away now.

You guys just like the boobies. Admit it. We're adults here. Well, most of. Maybe not the guys who started the pooping and vomiting threads.

Same here.
I wonder if that was a mistake posting. Pretty good deal for $50
