That's pretty cool. I wonder if the lions are aware of how they could totally smush him.

It doesn't seem to me that he is the alpha. I don't think he would have a chance in hell of doing what he's doing if he actually challenged for that spot in the pride.

Yah I suppose you're right - just that lions do have a hierarchy, and he must possess some standing in their eyes. Maybe he's occupying the lowest position of all? Which is still odd, because then you'd think he'd be subject to bullying.

I don't know that much about lion pride structure, but a quick google search reveals that the weakest male in the pride ranks just above the females... Maybe that's him?
