Thrashers beat the Panthers 3-2 in the SO. Hossa scores the only goal in the SO. Khabby had a strong game but the Thrashers offensively had a bad night but still got the win.

I'm impressed that I was able to force a shootout with the Thrashers and limit them to only 12 shots.

These shot totals are just goofy. In most games, one team is only generating 10-12 shots a game. Seriously in the NHL the worst team in the league had 27.5 shots per game last year. The median teams are around 29.5 shots for and against per game. Today the highest shot game was 26 to 25...Thats still 8 less shots than the average NHL game featured last year. The second highest total was 44....

If this is what this SIM is going to spit out, I don't like it and it's less realistic than our last SIM was.

Let's not over-react yet - I've been adjusting the sim settings w/ each game to try and get the best results.

hmm well I was going to be proud of us limiting the opposition to 13 shots, but apparently that's the norm. still a good win, and lets be honest this sim is still pretty cool! big 'rivarly' game tomorrow against the Leafs

Well the shots thing still needs some adjusting. Number of goals seems pretty low. Today over 7 games there are 37 total goals. In your average NHL game last year goals per game was more or less 5.8. So going by todays totals the goals per game isn't too far off, a bit low though.

Not trying to be a jerk...just sharing facts based on the NHL.

Yup I know - just saying give us some time to get used to this thing. I'll give both goals and shots a healthy boost and see what it spits out this next time.

also the PP conversion rate is far too high. that needs little tinkering imo.

There doesn't appear to be an option for that. Which is odd because if I boost goals/shots it stands to reason the PPs will become more deadly. Well we'll see.

Lets not be hasty here...the Nashville Predators are 2-0!!! Big night by Jagr and Neal for the win. Its a sad day when you're celebrating pre-season wins though!

Well the game went well, Rangers are playing solid and Andrew Brunnette looks like he will score quite a few goals this year. So far he has played 2 games and has 3 goals.
