Looking for a good realtor

My wife and I are looking to invest in a condo, preferrably in or near downtown. Can anyone recommend a good realtor?

There are plenty out there and finding a good one could be hit or miss. So if you think you have a good one let me know why or what experiences you had that makes them good. Not "because he's my borther" or "cause she's my wife".

I don't have a name for you, but I suggest you go with someone who works exclusively in that area of town. I have found the better realtors makes themselves specialists in a particular area or niche. Ask your prospective realtors if they serve other areas. Get the specialist, not a generalist. my 2 cents

Trevor Ashcroft. Showed me about 60 houses before I decided on one. He was constantly pointing out potential faults in places that I initially liked, didn't rush me into anything at all. He also sold my condo in 5 days for more than a brand new identical unit sold for 3 days later.

Don't have any Calgarian realtors to recommend, but if you're interested in the Waterfront development downtown let me know. We lowered pricing at the beginning of summer and have sold 40-50 condos since.

Jack Clarke helped us buy one house and sell two. When I bought, he took the time to really understand what I was looking for, and I ended up buying the first place he took me to. He showed me others (none of which were off the mark) to ensure that I was indeed getting what I wanted, but it was pretty clear that he just got it, right off the bat. A very honest, genuine person, and I can't recommend him highly enough.

He's pretty awesome. We are "inner city" people without the inner city budget, and he looked at SO many houses with us. At least 50, and I'm sure we were one of his lower budget clients. And no complaints from him whatsoever... in fact I felt like he really enjoyed helping us and finding a place that fit all our needs (twice).

Oh yeah, and he listed our condo for us when the market was at pretty much the absolute worst, and when we found the buyer ourselves he did us a huge favour on the fees. I basically can't say enough good things about Lance.
