I'm a Reds fan first, Mariners fan 2nd.
I'm excited about the talk of the Reds coming out of spring training. Young, quality pitching, young hitters, etc. They are in a pretty tough division so we'll see how it shakes out.
As for the Mariners, I'm not feeling too conifident about this season. I'm excited to see Griffey back, even if he's a shadow of his former self.
I'm looking forward to going to my first game at Safeco in August.

Yankees fan. Looking forward to seeing if the Bombers can live up to expectations this year. On paper they look unbeatable, but that is why the games are played.
How long until Posada hurts his shoulder again? Can a 37 year old catcher get it done? Will Burnett take a dip in production since it isn't a contract year? Matsui is pretty much guaranteed to get hurt, for how long?
Other than that, looking forward to seeing Brett Gardner in the lineup full time at CF. Also excited to see how CC does today in Camden Yards.
New stadium sounds pretty sweet as well. Hopefully I can check it out some time this season.

I'm a big A's fan. I have a couple of connections inside the organization. Billy Beane upgraded the offence a fair bit this season but the rotation is full of kids, 3 rookies to start. Duke is on the DL and isn't exactly a #1 starter. The thing about the A's is that they always seem to compete and if they don't compete in the first half, BB has Matt Holliday to trade away.

I wish I could be at home watching the baseball game. Following on the BB is better than nothing but watching on opening day is so much nicer.

I used to be able to sit and watch Expos baseball on CBC on weekends and love every minute of it, but now I cannot do it. Regular season baseball doesn't do it for me (and even the playoffs are becoming less interesting).
I do hope the Jays have some success, but just don't see it happening with the pitching they have. Might have to be a Cubs fan this year.

Looks like he is going to be hitting the showers. I hope he won't sulk when he gets booed back in the Bronx (if he doesn't impove before the 16th).

Webb got lit up too but won't take the loss (if ARI loses)
Who knows how pitchers pitch on opening day. Crapshoot.
Yankees miss A-Rod already, their 3rd baseman today is horrible.

Just shocking to me that last year's Cy Young winner and the already annointed "pitching saviour" for the Yankees both got destroyed today.
Same goes for Webb.
Interesting......I hope offensive pace keeps up for the whole year, that would make for some interesting baseball.

Yanks are on a rally. Pasado homers. Nady hits a ground rule double to score Cano.
Hey GirlySports, are you watching the games?

I am a big Astro's fan and I am pretty excited about them this year. They have a solid team from top to bottom except they are still missing a #2 pitcher...Atleast they have Hampton now though because last year it was just Oswalt and then 4 guys who suck on most nights.
