What a dissapointment. Worst show ever.

Was this the first time they revealed Comic Book Guys real name?

Anytime The Simpsons attempt to incorporate celebrities into the episodes they usually suck. There are a few exceptions, but most of the cameos are just lame. This show has run it's course. American Dad, on the other hand, has the potential to be a great show. Seth McFaralane cracks me up.

Terrible. One of the worst episodes ever. I didnt even smile once. It really needs to get better writers or stop.

Sadly after watching that mess, I lost my desire to watch the Simpson's wich is sad because I've been a fan since I first saw it on the Tracy Ullman show.

That was terrible, terrible, terrible. When Homer loses his edge theres a stong lack of ideas

I thought it had potential, but the initial idea didn't "take it over the top" like the older episodes. I've loved the show since the first season, but that one was disappointing, like a few others this year.

I think all the good writers have left. Like KG says they need to get better writers or stop the show. No need to have it lingering on, like a dead squirrell under the porch.

The Simpson's "jumped the shark" years ago. The old episodes are still good for a laugh, but its rare that the new ones are even remotely funny. Didn't get to see last nights, sounds like its a good thing I missed it.

you know its sad, when during the episode im trying to think up lines that the characters could say that would help them make it funny again.

Show has been going downhill for awhile now. I'm actually reading a book that pegs the beginning of this slide at the episode about Skinner's real identity of 'Arman Tamzarian,' which is interesting cause I thought that episode was kind of weak too.

Seems to me the show goes out of it's way to try and make a joke whereas before it just sort of naturally flowed into the story. Whether it was a split second gag or something you were led into, everything sort of naturally fit. Nowadays they go to extreme lengths just to make some stupid joke about nothing. Kind of hard to explain I suppose.

Anyways, like someone already said, they need to get new writers or else pull the plug alltogether...

Exactly.

Furthermore, what's with the conversations? The Simpsons have been sitting at the table, or in the car talking about stuff. No jokes, just chattering about random topics. Just brutal.

FlamesAllTheWay the best way to describe that would be the scene where homer tells bart that cartoons don't have to make sense, just as homer walks by outside. I am chuckling just thinking about that one.... it was funny, and it rolled with the story.

I hate how The Simpsons have gone from a somewhat realistic show in terms of situations the characters were in were releatable to real life to a show about an idiot (Homer) and situations that would never happen.

Super Mario coming off a bus??? WTF

A big reason why King of the Hill is the best Animated TV show out there.

What was American Dad like? I saw the "meet the characters" segemtn during the SB pre-game, and thought it looked alright.

Even after Family Guy comes back on the air.

Unfortunatly, I beleive this is the last season for Hank Hill and the gang.

Thumbs down from me.... just seemed sort of blah, really like a family guy rip off, and I have found myself tiring of family guy as of late. I really question whether it will have staying power, especially considering the fact that there are now two shows on the go.

King of the Hill has really grown on me, just because there are some really funny scene, which don't need stupid look at me gags... the gnome....

that whole episode is good. I love homers poem when there in the middle of the ocean "water water everywhere, now lets all have a drink."

The part with Mario made me laugh, and it wasn't even all that funny.

Terrible show.

I'm glad I started watching Futurama a few months ago. For the longest time I had avoided watching it, but once I did, it became easier to accept the fact the Simpsons was really starting to suck--something I had been in denial about for a couple years. Not that Futurama is brilliant (though it is consistently solid and funny), but it's probably my favorite animated show right now.
This episode was definitely the worst use of guest actors in a long time--possibly since the Simon Cowell appearance. I'll admit that the Kwan/Millhouse bit was funny, but then that was in the commercials.

Hahaha I just turned the channel a second ago and that exact scene was on! So funny...

Next scene:

Ned: Hello Bart. Ready for the father-son river rafting trip?
Bart: You knowdilly know it, Neddy!
Ned: Okally Dokally!
