Well, dinner was excellent. Both my wife and I had one of the specials... New York steak with jumbo shrimp with a Bernaise sauce. For veggies they served oven baked baby potatoes with jullien carrots and green beens. Very tasty. The meal also came with a choice of soup of the day or the house salad. We chose the soup. It was a parsnip soup. Very good.
For desert, we split a slice of lemon cheese cake. That also was quite good.
As for the decor... not much to talk about. Very plain and homey. The whole restraurant looks like it used to be a house... and a cheap house at that. If you weren't looking for it you would almost miss it if it were not for all the cars parked in front. its right beside the Esso station. It was fairly busy for a Wednesday evening. Reservations are definitely recommended.
The pricing for the main entrees ran between $20-30. We paid $31.95 for the steak special. The steak portion was very large. I ordered it medium rare and thats exactly the way it arrived.
I'd go back there again. Talking to a couple at the table next to us, who dine there frequently, they say the quality of the food is consistantly good.
I forgot to mention how friendly the staff was. Our waiter was excellent. Very friendly and efficient. From what I have heard this is a family run business and one of the brothers was the cook and I suspect the other brother was our waiter. Apparently the family is originally from Morroco.
Here is a link that shows some pics of the restaurant and the food as well as a review...
