Thinking about playing College hockey.

Well I moved to alabama this last week from Iowa and I have been interested in playing some D3 club college hockey for University of Alabama.

Now I need to enroll into the school but what scares me the most I have had a couple of nagging injuries. Knee, I was cheap shotted and Had it scoped but it still bothers me. Elbow tendonitis, That has been bothering me all summer. Thats why I haven't played all summer trying to get healthy for winter hockey.

Now I'm about 15 pounds over my playing weight. I'm weak and I need to hit the pool and lose some pounds.

Right now at the moment I'm 202lbs. I want to get down to 190lbs before camp but I dont think that is going to matter.

I went skating today and did well. I havent picked up my stick in a while though.

Wish me the best of luck. I'm going to go to camp as a agitator that can score if needed. I dont want to go in being the scorer. I had that role for a couple of seasons and hated it. I do like scoring but not when your expected to score all the time.

I hope I can get into the school tomorrow.

I'm in tuscaloosa and the only rink around is in Pelham thats about 45 mins away. (suburb of birmingham)

But anyways dont forget that university of alabama huntsville made it to the frozen 4 a couple of years ago. they are D1 hockey. The tide are d3 club hockey so no scholarships or anything like that.

Huntsville is 2 1/2 hours north east of me.

But hey it was 96* today! I love the warm weather. I grew up in florida so this is great. Besides spent the whole day at our apartments complex's pool checking out the southern belles! woot

If you can get an invite or walk on and try for a spot, then why not? Do your best and see what happens...just remember to enjoy it
