Hockey life is open!!!!
Wandered by 130th today and figured I'd swing by Hockey Life. Low and behold it was open!! Awesome place...I was in heaven. Woulda bought a whole new set of goalie equipment if the wife hadn't stopped me. According to the cashier, the grand opening is August 19th

LOL what did you want?
Apparently with the soft opening, they don't have everything in stock yet

Do they have a pro skate sharpener or some 13-year-old kid who has no idea what he's doing?

Im going to take a pop down later today. Is it even worth it if they don't even have the place stocked?

There was a ton of stuff there, but yeah, lots of staff but I was pretty much the only customer.
Got to shoot in the stick testing area - pretty cool.
It's a great store, and I'm sure I'll be there weekly once hockey starts.
Do you think they'll re-palm your gloves there? Where would be a good place to get that done?

There is going to be another Hockey Life opening in the new Cross Iron Mills out at Balzac on Aug.19 as well. Regher will be signing autographs at the mall that day too.

So I went anyways, man, that store is wicked. Loved playing around in the puck shooting accuracy game thing. Trying out some new sticks etc. Plenty of fun. Fiancee was with me, so she stifled any impulse buys, but I'll definitely be going back there soon... this time alone.

I didn't because I took my skates to that other hockey store on McLeod near Heritage where i bought them. It did look like they had an area at the back for it. I can't see how you couldn't have a skate sharpener in there.
