I have been using the final release candidate for the past couple of weeks. Nothing earth shattering, but it does seem a little snappier to me.

How hard was it for people to use the keyboard to open a new tab. Whats with the ugly + sign now. What is this Internet Explorer?

I never used the keyboard. I just clicked in the open area or used a mouse gesture.
Interestingly, there were only 2 of my add-ons that didn't work with the new version. One I don't really care about, the other there was a new version on the developer's site (Mouse Gestures Redux).

Command Tab - Keyboard shortcuts are for pro's
The new plus sign is irritating, but I'll soon learn to ignore it. The new update does seem to deliver on it's promise of more speed though. It feels faster for sure.

To get rid of the new "New Tab" button:
Quote:
Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line.
See Editing_configuration:_Manual_editing (MozillaZine KB)
Quote:
/* remove New Tab button */
.tabs-newtab-button {display:none!important}

Damn straight. Best part is that you get to eat pro cookies - which are the tastiest.
EDIT: Here is a link about how to find userChrome.css on various systems: http://lifehacker.com/197715/customi...-userchromecss

I like the "+" new tab button. Laptop is on my chest and I'm using a mouse. No more need to strain myself with ctrl+T...

I like the new + button. I can see how it's annoying on a PC but it's perfect for the laptop

I only switched to Firefox from Netscape last week and I'm really impressed with it so far, much quicker and not as many hang ups on loading some pages.
